Day 1: (Thursday) Sarajevo

Upon arrival in Sarajevo, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax before meeting your fellow travellers tonight at the welcome dinner.

Day 2: (Friday) Sarajevo

The capital city of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been influenced by a number of cultures and civilizations. On your city tour today we will visit the picturesque Turkish bazaar "Bas Carsija", the Husref Bay's Mosque, the Olympic Stadium and the Sarajevo War Tunnel Museum. The afternoon is at leisure for you to continue exploring this amazing city at your own pace.

Day 3: (Saturday) Sarajevo - Dubrovnik

Today we will drive through the marvellous gorge of the River Neretva to Mostar, where you will see the remains of the Turkish quarter and the recently reconstructed 16th century single arch stone bridge. Dinner tonight will be in picturesque Dubrovnik.

Day 4: (Sunday) Dubrovnik

This morning enjoy a walking tour of 'Old Dubrovnik", the Rector's Palace, the Bell Tower clock, Orlando's Column and the Sponza Palace. You will truly be amazed by this historic city. You will also see the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5: (Monday) Dubrovnik - Split

This morning we will depart from Dubrovnik and travel north along the spectacular Adriatic Coast, past old fishing villages and new resorts, to Split. Enjoy a city tour featuring the historic inner city, built around Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and see remnants of Split's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter's Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral.

Day 6: (Tuesday) Split - Trogir - Plitvice Lakes

After breakfast, we will head north along the coast to Trogir, the centre of artistic activities, where scholars from around the world gather to study and paint. Then our journey continues as we turn inland towards the beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park, listed on the UNESCO's World Heritage Site list. Upon arrival we will take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder. There are sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, which were formed over thousands of years ago. If there is an equivalent to the Biblical Garden of Eden remaining on Earth, this might just be it.

Day 7: (Wednesday) Plitvice Lakes - Opatija - Postojna - Bled

We return to the coast to the beautiful bay of Kvarner and its popular resort, Opatija. Then we head north to Postojna, home of one of the largest caves in Europe. Here we tour the fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Afterwards, our journey continues to Bled, beautifully situated in the Julian Alps.

Day 8: (Thursday) Bled

Our sightseeing tour this morning features the town of Bled and its beautiful lake shore. We will visit Bled Castle, which is perched on a cliff high above the lake. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore on your own or join in on the optional activities that are available, such as visiting the old church with a collection of religious art on a small island in the middle of the lake.

Day 9: (Friday) Bled - Ljubljana - Zagreb

Today we will start the day with a tour of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, including visits to all the most significant sights of the old city centre: the open-air Central Market and the Three Bridges, both works of Jose Plecnik, a famous 20th century architect, Baroque Town Hall and Robba's Fountain. Our journey will then continue onto Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Day 10: (Saturday) Zagreb

This morning you will enjoy a city tour of Zagreb, that will take us along the historic Upper Town to see the St. Mark's Church, St. Catherines Church, the Cathedral, Parliament and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town or you may want to take an optional tour with dinner into the surrounding countryside.

Day 11: (Sunday) Depart Zagreb

After breakfast you will be transferred to the nearby airport for your flight home.
