Description: Every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday throughout the year, from 08:00am to 12:00pm, the traditional market sets up shop in Old Annecy and proposes an extensive selection of local produce including fruit and vegetables, cheeses and cold cuts... take time out to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, discover the different stalls and meet with the locals. The market is one of the ‘places-to-be’ where the town’s residents come frequently to do their shopping, to meet and to have a chat! On the last Saturday of every month, a gigantic flea market invades the streets of the old town, from 08:00 am until dusk... a great occasion to pick up a few rather original souvenirs!

Set off for a walking tour of the “Venice of the Alps”, the nickname given to Annecy because of the myriad of canals that criss-cross through its historic centre and discover the town from every possible angle. Old Annecy and its maze of cobblestoned pedestrian streets, its arcades and medieval doorways, the Palais de l’Ile (better known as “Old Prisons”), one of the town’s iconic landmarks and one of the most photographed sites in France, and the Castle-Museum are all definite must-sees. But your guide will also be eager to show you some “curiosities” that very few people ever notice!
3 Courses – drinks excluded.
Why not treat yourself to some Savoyard specialities: tartiflette (made with locally- produced PDO cheese, Reblochon), crozets (traditional pasta), diots (local sausages), etc. or taste some of Lake Annecy’s ‘catch-of-the-day’ (or from other Alpine lakes, depending on the season). And, it goes without saying... traditional French cuisine is also high on our list!

Jump on-board a fast, comfortable boat for a private 2 hour cruise and discover the lake’s exquisite banks, the Roc de Chère caves, the remains of ancient lakeside towns and much, much more! The trip includes stop-offs and a chance to swim in the lagoon. Lake Annecy will no longer hold any secrets for you... your boat pilots/guides will be delighted to show you its countless wonders.

Setting out from Annecy, you will travel along the Eastern Bank of the lake, before rapidly ascending to overlook the lake and take in some exceptional panoramic views. The journey continues towards the Col de Bluffy, the impressive gateway between the lake and the mountains. As we go through the mountain pass, you’ll catch a wonderful glimpse of the Castle of Menthon, with its towers soaring high above the lake! Your guide will take you to explore the traditional village of Le Grand Bornand and its heritage centre, which was built in 1830, then later restored and furnished, and where you will learn about local life of yesteryear and the wooden architectural design typical of the Bornes-Aravis region. You will enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant, with a splendid view and you’ll make a stop in a cheese dairy, a local farm where you’ll be introduced to the secrets of the local Cheese making… and enjoy of course a cheese tasting!
