Day 2 (Tuesday): Nafplio - Olympia
After breakfast, we continue the trip to Myceane. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon there is an optional stop for souvenirs and lunch before departing for Olympia, an ancient site on Greece's Peloponnese peninsula that hosted the original Olympic Games, founded in the 8th century B.C. Overnight stay in Olympia.

Day 3 (Wednesday): Olympia - Delphi
Olympia is among the most important archaeological sites in Greece. Today, visit the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum. We then depart via Patras and cross the Corinthian Bay by the new bridge, continuing by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to DelphiI, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. Overnight stay in Delphi.

Day 4 (Thursday): Delphi - Kalambaka
Delphi is an ancient town and seat of the most important Greek temple and oracle of Apollo. After breakfast, visit the archaeological site, and, the Museum of Delphi. We then depart for Kalambaka via Central Greece. Overnight stay in Kalambaka.

Day 5 (Friday): Kalambaka - Athens
Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantines Monasteries. Meteora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list. The monasteries are perched on top of towers of sandstone, which for centuries provided totally inaccessible retreats for the monks and is considered to be one of the most beautiful areas of mainland Greece, and its monasteries are one of the country's most unique attractions. We then return to Athens passing the heroic monument of Leonidas at Thermopylae.
Please Note: To enter the monasteries, appropriate clothing is required. Ladies should not wear short skirts and must have long sleeves. Men are not allowed to wear shorts. We normally visit the Great Meteoro Monastey and St. Stefanos. Every Tuesday we will visit instead of Great Meteoro, the Varlaam monastery.
