Day 2: Interlaken
After breakfast a highlight of your visit to Switzerland awaits you. Enjoy a journey to the world famous Jungfraujoch, known as the "Top of Europe" (located 3,454 metres above sea level): a sparkling snow and ice wonderland accessed through the highest altitude railway station in Europe. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 3: Interlaken - Montreux
Train ride to Zweisimmen. Change to the Golden Pass Panoramic train (or optional Golden Pass Classic) for this memorable trip to Montreux on the shore of Lake Geneva. You'll find yourself among alpine forests, bubbling mountain springs and picturesque mountain villages. Overnight in Montreux.
Day 4: Montreux - Zermatt
Today you board the train to Zermatt, the marvelous and famous car-free resort at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn. There is an optional excursion by cogwheel railway up to Gornergrat where you'll have a superb view of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and other snow-capped peaks rising to above 4000 metres. The ride takes about half an hour. It starts at an altitude of 1605 metres and ends at 3090 metres on the Gornergrat ridge. The train crosses forests and a high alpine landscape, and stops in four different stations along the way. At an airy 3883 metres of altitude you will find Europe's highest aerial cableway and summit station. If you want to go higher, the summit lift brings you up to the viewing platform with a 360 degree panoramic view. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 5: Zermatt - Glacier Express - St. Moritz
Today you board the Glacier Express for one of the greatest train journeys in the world. You travel from Zermatt to St. Moritz, which takes 8 hours and across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp pass at 2033 metres in altitude. Travel in comfort throght the unspoiled natural beauty of a landscape rich in ancient, fragrant mountain forests, peaceful alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys, soaked in tradition and centuries-old culture. Optional lunch of required (please indicate when booking). Overnight in St. Moritz.
Day 6: Moritz– Lugano (Bernina Express)
Today you travel with the Bernina Express of the Rhaetian Railway along the UNESCO World Heritage route. Enjoy an Alpine switchback ride, taking you from the high, towering glaciers of the mountains down to the swaying palms of Italy: the Bernina Express is the highest railway line across the Alps, linking Northern and Southern Europe and this is the most spectacular way to cross the Alps. Overnight in Lugano.
Day 7: Lugano - Lucerne
Train journey from Lugano to Lucerne. Experience the new Gotthard Base Tunnel (57 kilometres) and the longest train tunnel in the world. It takes only 17 minutes to travel this fast flat-track route under the Alpine massif in the heart of Europe. The rest of the day is a leisure in Lucerne.
We recommend the following excursions:
- Mount Titlis with a visit of the glacier cave and a ride of the Ice Flyer Chairlift
- Mount Rigi, Queen of the mountains
- Mount Pilatus, The Golden Round Trip
Day 8: Depart from Lucerne
Return to the Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland.
