One of the world's most photographed castles is found in Germany, the 19th century Neuschwanstein Castle, which sits magnificently on top of a rugged hill overlooking the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria. This castle was built by King Ludwig II in 1886 and can only be visited within a guided tour.
