The first Lighthouses are already on your route Portzic, Bertheaume, Lochrist and Kermorvan. The most spectacular, perched on the heights of Pointe Saint-Mathieu and overlooking the ruins of the old Abbey, can be visited and offers an exceptional panorama of the Molène Archipelago. Today, depart from the peaceful Ria du Conquet and the large beach of Blancs Sablons. You are at the end of the European continent, between the Channel and the ocean. In Plouarzel, the Trézien Lighthouse (37 metres, visit possible in summer) and the Semaphore of the Corsen point monitor this very busy strategic maritime passage. In Lanildut, you are in the first seaweed harbour in Europe. An astonishing profession that you can discover at the Maison des Algues. You will continue your hike to Porspoder, a small seaside resort. Meals: Breakfast
Today, depart along a wild coast to the small Port of Argenton, the surfing beach of Penfoul, the small and isolated Chapel of Saint-Samson, the Island of Melon and offshore and the Lighthouse of the Four before arriving in Portsall, where the memory of the sinking of the Amoco Cadiz is still present. The megaliths of Guilliguy, an area classified as a historic monument, is an essential stopover before going around the Aber Benoit to reach Landéda. Meals: Breakfast
Via the bucolic Aber Wrac’h, you reach Plouguerneau and the Lighthouse of the Virgin Island. Built in freestone, it measures 82 metres (the highest in Europe). This Lighthouse can be visited with the reward at the top of the 397 steps, an exceptional point of view on the coast of the wreckers and the Abers! On the road to Brignogan-Plages, the white sand beaches, the emerald sea, the gorse covered dunes and the Oyster farms are the backdrop for the day. Along the way, you will be able to discover the village of thatched cottages of Meneham and the Lighthouse of the point of Ponstuval. Meals: Breakfast
Today, Goulven Bay offers a peaceful landscape between dunes and marshes where many species of birds’ nest. The Ursuline convent or the German Cemetery (unique in Brittany) located in the Lesneven region bear witness to the eventful history of the Léonard region. Not far away, a short detour to discover the Basilica of Folgoët, a major Pilgrimage site, is a must see before joining the Finistère countryside as your stopover for the day. In Landerneau, the beautiful town centre with its shipowners' hotels and its inhabited Bridge will charm you. The Hélène and Edouard Leclerc Contemporary Art Fund is now a must see for contemporary art lovers. Meals: Breakfast
Your last short day begins along the Élorn, towards the Forest Landerneau before opening to the harbour of Brest and its marina. You can visit Oceanopolis, the National Centre for Scientific Culture dedicated to the Ocean and one of the largest Aquariums in France or simply stroll along the quays of the Moulin Blanc before reaching the city centre of Brest.
