After breakfast, we will depart for Syracuse and visit the World Heritage Site 'Neapolis'. This visit to this Archaeological area includes the famous Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Latomia of Paradise and the 'Dionysius Ear'. Afterwards, we will continue to the Island of Ortigia, the small Baroque Old City Centre of Syracuse. Here, visit the beautiful Cathedral, which is built upon the site of the Doric Temple of Minerva, the legendary Arethusa's Fountain and the Temple of Apollo. Enjoy a 'street food' light lunch in the centre of Ortigia, followed by an afternoon at leisure to stroll through the streets of the centre or to do some shopping. Afterwards, we will return to your hotel in Catania. The evening is free at leisure to experience the city and its nightlife and to dine in one of the typical restaurants in the city centre. This morning, we will embark on a nice walk in Catania and stroll through the city centre visiting the famous Fish Market 'A Piscaria', which is one of the largest Fish Markets in Sicily. As old as the city itself, it's a great way to experience the abundant fishing and Seafood culture of Sicily with a very special and authentic atmosphere. Depart for Ragusa, renowned for its cheese production. While here, enjoy a tasting of artisan cheeses and Sicilian specialties (light lunch). Enjoy an enchanting panoramic tour of the historical centre 'Ibla' by a 'Baroque Train' and admire the stunning Baroque Palaces and Churches. Together with seven other cities in the Val di Noto, Ragusa is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will continue to the hotel where we will have some free time to relax at the swimming pool or the Spa. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, we continue on to Agrigento, which is a hillside town famous for its magnificent Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Valley including the Temple of Concordia, which is almost in perfectly preserved condition, as well as the Temples of Juno and Heracles. Enjoy some free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we proceed to Marsala, a city on the Western Coast famous for its production of sweet Sicilian Wine. Baglio Donna Franca is a perfectly restored 19th Century Baglio, which rises in the Marsala countryside on the hills in front of the Egadi Islands. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit the Cellar and learn all about Wine making. At the end of the tour, enjoy a Wine tasting and light dinner at sunset. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
This morning, depart for Erice via the spectacular 'Salt Route', a road flanked by the salt pans, windmills and the 'salt houses' where they still extract the sea salt as the Phoenicians. Upon arrival in Erice, which is placed on the top of a hill overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands, you will walk through its tiny and characteristic streets, winding lanes and inner courtyards and stop for Biscuit tasting. Afterwards, we continue on to Monreale, stopping along the way for a light lunch with local specialities. Monreale is situated on a hill a few kilometres from Palermo in a panoramic position. Upon arrival, visit the Cathedral, which is one of the most beautiful monuments in the world with its Moorish architecture and houses fine mosaics representing a complete cycle of the Old and New Testaments in Arab-Norman style. From here, continue to Palermo for your overnight stay. Enjoy some free time at leisure to shop and have dinner on your own. Meals: Breakfast
After a buffet breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Palermo, the Capital of Sicily. Our tour will start by walking along Corso Vittorio Emanuele to reach 'I Quattro Canti di Città' Piazza Pretoria and Piazza Bellini. We then continue on to visit the Cathedral, which is one of the most important architectural monuments. Afterwards, we will reach one of the most famous and historical Markets of Palermo to experience the authenticity of this wonderful and colourful city. Your journey then continues to Cefalù, a former fishing village and now a charming coastal town. Enjoy a walk to the city centre and down the main street to reach the Arab-Norman Cathedral and the Medieval Washhouse built in the rock. Enjoy some free time to explore the town, shop and enjoy lunch on your own. Afterwards, we will proceed to Taormina through the coastal road passing through Messina from where you will have the chance to admire the scenery of the Strait of Messina. Upon arrival in Taormina, check-in at the hotel. The evening is free at leisure. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active Volcano in Europe. We will reach a height of 1,800 metres to visit the Sylvester Craters where you can enjoy a spectacular panorama over the Ionian Sea. Stop at a local Winery on the eastern slopes of Etna and visit a prestigious Cellar. There will be the opportunity to taste different local Wines accompanied by local Cheese and cold cuts. In the afternoon, we will head back to Taormina, which is a charming city called 'the Pearl of the Ionian Sea'. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time at leisure for shopping or walking through its tiny streets. There is the possibility to visit the Greek-Roman Theatre, on your own, with its spectacular view of Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna. The evening is free at leisure. Meals: Breakfast
